Your mountain

We all have mountains in our lives...and yet Jesus said:

Mark 11:22-24
Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God.
I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.
But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.

Today I read about the awesome anger and/or Presence of the Lord.
In His presence even a mountain can melt like candle wax.
Maybe even...
your mountain.

Amos 9:5
The Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies,
touches the land and it
melts,

Micah 1:4
The mountains
melt beneath his feet
and flow into the valleys like wax in a fire,
like water pouring down a hill.

Isaiah 64:1-2
Oh, that you would burst from the heavens and come down!
How the mountains would
quake in your presence!
As fire causes wood to
burn and water to boil,
your coming would make the nations
tremble.
Then your enemies would learn the reason for your fame!

Psalm 97:2-5
Dark clouds surround him.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
Fire spreads ahead of him and
burns up all his foes.
His lightning flashes out across the world.
The earth sees and
trembles.
The
mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth.

Nahum 1:5-6
In his presence the mountains
quake,
and the hills
melt away;
the earth
trembles,
and its people are destroyed.
Who can stand before his fierce anger?
Who can survive his burning fury?
His rage blazes forth like fire,
and the mountains
crumble to dust in his presence.

As we viewed your blog, there are many nice scriptures found! God is love and he is light. And the word of God is true no matter who likes it or not. God loves us no matter what we have done and we show our love to him by obeying his commandments, "For this is the love of God that we keep his commandments and his laws are not grevious". Jesus also said to his disciples, "If you love me keep my commandments. One of the laws of God is that a woman is to be with a man and visa versa. Regardless of what we are led to believe by the leading of our flesh, we can not change Gods word to suite our desires. If we are wanting to please God we must obey his word and not justify sin of any kind. A married man may have a desire to be with every women as he sees them walk by but because he is married he has to have a restraints and be only with his wife in that manner. Likewise the married woman. There are handsome men and good looking men and we are not blind to that fact, however we can not go out and have adulterous relations if we say we are a Christian, because those are not the ways of God. If you really want to know truth about what God is saying Read Leveticus chapter 19, Romans 1, Galatians 5:19 & 20 ... there are many scriptures God has given us to live by. We can ignore them but if we truly love him we will do those things that please him. Sometimes when we ignore warnings about different decisions we make we find ourselves in a situation that God is not pleased with ...and the more we continue to quiet that voice that says, No this is wrong ... the more adament we become because now the flesh is on track and wants to fulfill it's own desires regardless of what God is giving us ... You don't have to accept the words I have written here... it's not about what I think or about what you think ... but it is all about God and what he has written in his word...and we are to live by his word ... for his word is all that will matter in the end ... Love You In Christ Jesus.

Anonymous, thank you for responding and responding with respect. I can respect that. :-)

You said: "If you really want to know the truth, read..." I am very much aware of those and many other verses people use to justify their opinion that God could not be happy with who I am.

And yes, ultimately I care only about what God thinks.

This is not a "choice" so why would will power help?

I have gone through my struggle and I am at peace with God.

I appreciate that you care about me and that you took the time to leave your comment.

Blessings, K.
