Jesus is our hope

Last night during the praise and worship at our church...

I saw a nest form and then a baby inside.  And I just knew that it represented Jesus and that Jesus represented hope.

Isaiah 9:6-7 (NLT)
For a child is born to us,a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
His government and its peace will never end.
He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David
for all eternity.
The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies
will make this happen!

And I feel, really feel, joy about the true meaning of our Christmas celebrations.  Something I haven't felt in a long time.

Jesus is our hope!

And then, to confirm that message for me, our pastor said exactly that same thing during His sermon.  We may have been coming from different angles, but still the same message.

Jesus is our hope!

  ♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫
O holy night,
the stars are brightly shining;
It is the night of
our dear Savior's birth!
Long lay the world
in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared
and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope,
the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks
a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees,
O hear the angel voices!
O night divine,
O night when Christ was born!

O night divine, O night,
O night divine!

May you feel the hope of Christ this holiday season and always.
